Will 'Entourage' Be Shut Out of the Golden Globes?

HBO's 'Entourage' has been nominated for two Golden Globe Awards this year for Best Series, Musical or Comedy and for Jeremy Piven for Best Supporting Actor, Series, Miniseries or Movie but faces stiff competition from newcomers Glee and Modern Family.

HBO once again leads all networks with 17 nominations and this year the Hollywood Foreign Press is breaking tradition by having a host for the first time in 15 years. Brilliant comedian Ricky Gervais is hosting the always fun event so get ready for a barrage of uncomfortable moments and perfectly timed sarcasm. Should be lots of fun!

So what are the chances the Pivster will win the award he took home in 2008? Slim to none, me thinks. Especially since he's going up against such heavyweights as William Hurt, Neil Patrick Harris, Michael Emerson and especially John Lithgow who's turn as the Trinity killer in last season's Dexter may prove to be unstoppable. An even better question is will 'Entourage' finally win Best show? No way since the juggernauts that are Modern Family and Glee have taken center stage. Couple that with perennial favorites The Office and 30 Rock and Entourage stands about the same chance as Johnny Drama winning the Best Actor Oscar.

Watch the 2010 67th Annual Golden Globes Awards this Sunday, January 17th on NBC at 8 PM EST and hope that Entourage wins something!
